Mader Sitang may not be returning to Manila after a failed contract signing

Recently, the Thai internet sensation Mader Sitang received a warm welcome from her Filipino fans when she visited the country. During that time, she toured around Manila, conducted gift giving to children, met with her fans, and performed several shows. However, the said visit in the country may also be her last one.

According to Wilbert Tolentino who served as Sitang’s manager on her Manila visit, the online sensation refused to proceed with the contract signing after he presented it in Thailand. In a Facebook post, he wrote:

“By now, you must have already known that the contract signing between me and Mader Sitang here in Bangkok did not materialize because of the latter’s refusal to honor such agreement. All of you can attest that I have always been fair and transparent in all my dealings.”

Supposedly, they will have a welcome dinner, but upon learning that he didn’t have 19.5M baht (PHP31.3M) with him, Sitang refused to honor the contract.

The said money will be used to fund her house, office, and mini warehouse with a total worth of 9.5M baht (PHP 15.3M), and another 16M baht (PHP 16M) for other expenses.

Since he did not meet her demands, Wilbert immediately asked help to the Philippine Consulate in Thailand. He requested to declare Sitang persona non grata and preventing her from returning to the country. As of now, Sitang hasn’t released a statement yet regarding this issue.

Mader Sitang became viral for her hair flip videos. She became well-known among the netizens for her kindness and especially for the donation she gave to the country during typhoon Yolanda.
