Nowadays, hearing stories about broken families isn’t as surprising as it was back then. After being together for several years, some couples tend to give up the fight instead of mending their marriage. Even without divorce, here in our country, the number of couples who filed for their legal separation is actually high. Sadly, this kind of setup greatly affects the children. But with the case of Zeke Sarmenta, she stressed that her parents’ separation didn’t affect their love for their family.
Months after Romnick and Harlene Sarmenta’s split, Zeke clarified that nothing has really changed. She made this statement during the press con of the movie “Rainbow’s Sunset,” where she’s a part of the cast.

Zeke said that despite their different setup this Christmas, she still feels her parents’ overwhelming love for her and her siblings. She also clarified that Romnick and Harlene have ended in good terms and that they still love each other.
“I think it would be a little different kasi, honestly, walang nagbago sa amount of love na ibinigay sa amin ng magulang namin and even with each other. They’re friends. For me, it’s different, but not in an emotional level.”

The 18-year-old actress also shared how her parents have supported her for entering show business. As a daughter of both talented celebrities, Zeke admitted that she’s definitely pressured.
“Opo. I also have that clear mind na yung pressure that both my parents are known actors, paano kung hindi ako to that standard? Pero what my parents always told me is, as long as you do your best and you’re having a good time and you’re giving your all and you’re not hurting anybody, okey na yun.”
